Subject: Teen Program plans for winter QM From: Kathy Runyan Date: 12/15/2014 03:56 PM To: Bob Runyan , Mary Miche CC: "jim.avera@gmail.com" Dear Mary and Bob, The Teen Program planning group met yesterday and made the following decisions about Winter Quarterly Meeting. We will host a fellowship night for all teens on Friday, January 16th at the RFFM meetinghouse (I have reserved it with Penny Jones, Resident Friend). We will begin serving a simple supper of soup and bread at 6pm. Julian will then lead some kind of creative project (t-shirt designing, service project, etc.), which teens can join in with, and then community building games. The teens will take part in CPQM winter quarterly meeting all day Saturday with one break out session for a business meeting in the morning, and a brief business meeting in the late afternoon to articulate whatever report they might want to share during the last plenary. Though the Church has not yet agreed to extend the contract, the Teen Program hopes to host an inter-generational dinner on Saturday night at the Bible Church for an additional fee for those who wish to take part. The teens will then travel to RFFM by 7:30 for a Quaker process workshop lead by Stephen Matchett and Jim Anderson. (If the church does not agree, the teens will likely have a dinner with just the adults affiliated with the Teen Program back at the RFFM Residence.) On Sunday morning, the teens will attend Redwood Forest Friends meeting for worship and get picked up by their parents or guardians. As soon as possible, please let us know what the schedule will be for Saturday's session so that we can make more detailed plans. Thank you, Kathy Runyan Teen Program Committee Clerk
