Santa Rosa curb-side compost (green-bin) pickup rules*:

ACCEPTED:

* All food, INCLUDING MEAT, bones, shellfish, fruit pits & shells.
* Paper cups & plates (but NOT with film plastic coating)
* Paper napkins, paper towels, coffee filters
* Tea bags
* Wooden coffee stir sticks & chop sticks
* Greasy food (e.g. pizza) boxes

* Hair, fur, feathers
* Shredded paper
* Wood (small pieces) from clean, unpainted wood.

NOT ACCEPTED:
x  So-called "compostable" plastics (these must go to the landfill!)
x  Foil- or Plastic- or Wax-coated paper or containers
x  Cloth of any sort
x  Corks
